Amy Newhart is no stranger to the health and fitness industry. Her diverse and multidimensional background creates a platform for her clients to achieve their goals with creative thinking, motivation and a plethora of experience. Amy initiated her pursuit of excellence and athletics at Ball State University in Liberal Studies. Her quest for communicating and desire of current events lead her to a Specialized Business Degree in Television and Film Production at the Art Institute of Philadelphia.

During her tenure at the KYW Channel 3 and WTXF Channel 29 Fox News she had the

  

opportunity to develop a significant book of personal training clients as a second career. Her interest in fitness was growing and with the accumulation more clients, she executed a career change. Empowering clients to change their bodies is Amy's passion. She has the uncanny ability to teach her clients body awareness, human movement and the mind body connection.

In the fall of 1999, Amy moved her personal training business from Center City, Philadelphia to the Main Line. She worked with Vertex Fitness owners Dwayne Wimmer and Julie Victor at the Health and Fitness Foundation in Bryn Mawr, PA. Concurrently, Amy taught autistic children in the Northeast Pennsylvania school district as an Autistic Support Staff teacher. In June of 2001, Amy joined Dwayne and Julie full time as one of the original trainers who contributed to the inception of Vertex Fitness and was dually responsible for the quality reputation Vertex Fitness has earned as the premier personal training studio on the Main Line.
